Description
【Structure & Form】
This lounge chair showcases a perfect combination of a “high backrest” and “wide enveloping armrests.” The frame is crafted from dark solid wood, featuring a classic “outward-splayed” straight-leg structure on the sides. This narrow-at-the-top, wide-at-the-bottom design not only gives the chair a visually stable and substantial presence but also provides excellent physical stability against tipping. The entire chair leans back slightly, combined with a towering backrest, constructing a private resting fortress with a strong sense of security.
【Material & Pattern】
The biggest highlight of the chair is its visually striking geometric patchwork fabric. Inspired by deconstructivist art, black, white, and gray intertwine, forming irregular square blocks through patches of lines of varying thicknesses (stripes, dot matrices, zigzags). This pixelated or Mondrian-esque pattern endows the furniture with a strong modern artistic vibe, making it not just a chair, but a piece of art placed in the home.
【Details & Ambiance】
To break the potential visual oppression of the large-scale dark pattern, the designer cleverly placed a color-blocked throw pillow (a combination of dark gray and coffee-colored blocks) on the seat. This touch of warm tone not only adds comfortable support for the neck or waist but also serves to brighten and transition the color palette. The rounded edges of the armrests, designed for a comfortable hand grip, reflect meticulous human-centered care.
